Hands On Project
Assembling and fitting prosthetic hands to victims of landmines and war.
The focus for the Hands On Project for 2018 will be delivering hands to recipients so we will not be taking any further orders for building hands at this stage.
The response and enthusiasm from Rotary Clubs, community organisations, businesses and individuals in supporting this project has been outstanding. We have built nearly 2000 hands in the last 4 years.
So far we have fitted and trained recipients to receive over 1300 hands in Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Laos with 2 trips planned for 2018.
We still welcome donations to the project as there are significant in-country costs that need to be covered for our hands to be received by the people who need them.
